Two people who needed this framework and built the one they couldn't find.
Lorraine and Brandon Cover are the authors of Circle 1 for Authors and the architects of Circle 1 Living, a framework for finishing what your old wiring keeps interrupting.
The framework did not come out of an academic seminar or a startup retreat. It was built backward, the way most useful things are. We had the patterns first: fourteen documents titled Chapter One, the opening paragraph rewritten for the ninth time, the dinner-party answer that the book is 'just a project,' the finished draft nobody has been allowed to read. We had the body first: the locked jaw before six in the morning, the foot on the brake in the parking garage, the hand drifting to the phone the moment a hard sentence arrived. We needed something that worked on Tuesday, in a kitchen, with a cooling cup of coffee and ninety minutes that had to count. Nothing we found worked on Tuesday.
So we built one that did.
We didn't invent any of this. Worth lives in what you control. That idea is older than any book on the shelf. The body's threat-response wiring, the alarm, is older than language. We took those two old truths, where worth lives and how the alarm works, and translated them into language a person can use on a Tuesday morning, gave the patterns names you might recognize when one of them shows up at your kitchen table, and built moves you can actually run.
What we believe
We believe most adults do not have a discipline problem. They have an alarm problem. The alarm is not malfunctioning. It is doing its job, guarding you against a threat that stopped being real years ago. The blank page reads as danger, so your jaw sets and your hand finds the phone. It can be rewired. Rewired, the same page sends the same jolt, and you write the next sentence anyway. The work of rewiring it is mechanical, not philosophical. There is no morning you wake up healed, only the alarm and the keyboard and the chapter that gets written while it is still sounding.
We believe worth lives in Circle 1 (what you control) and that most adults spend most of their day fighting in Circle 3 (what you cannot control), where worth has never lived for anyone in human history. We believe naming the pattern is the first move.
We believe the 5% who finish a book are not braver than you. They have learned to wait out the first ten seconds after the alarm fires, so the jolt passes before it makes the decision for them.
The book
Circle 1 for Authors publishes December 8, 2026 with True Path Publishing. It follows five writers — Sarah, Keith, Ruth, Ashley, and Patrick — through a fictional fifteen-week workshop where each of them stops being the 95% who quit and becomes the 5% who finish. You will probably recognize at least one of them inside the first chapter.
Circle 1 for Authors is the first book in the Circle 1 Living series. More are on the way, each built to bring the framework into another room where people get stuck. Contact us about custom editions for teams of any size.
The publisher
True Path Publishing is the imprint we started after years on the author's side of publishing. We knew the experience we had wanted and rarely got, so we built that one instead. Founding Readers is the clearest example. This is a book for authors, written by authors, and the writers who read it before launch are shaping it. Their notes on what landed, and what didn't, go into the final edition.
